FIRA 2025 in Toulouse: Europe's agricultural robotics industry comes together

FARMERS AT THE HEART OF TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT
A key feature of this year's FIRA was the active involvement of farmers in the innovation process. Never before have their needs and experiences been so central. In practical field demonstrations, farmers were able to test robots directly, discuss with developers, and actively help shape the next generation of automated solutions.

INTERNATIONAL NETWORKING AS THE KEY
During his stay, Sven Lake met with Stephan Duane from RobAgri and Christophe Aubé from Agreenculture, among others. These encounters reflect the spirit of FIRA: building a cross-border European network dedicated to sustainable, robot-assisted agriculture.

“It was inspiring to see manufacturers, developers, researchers, and farmers working together as equals,” said Lake. “These connections are crucial for Deepfarmbots in particular to strengthen our mission across Europe.”

INNOVATION MEETS PRACTICE
The exhibitors ranged from visionary start-ups to technology giants:

Our partners Agreenculture and Farming Revolution showcased impressive solutions for weed control robots, autonomous platforms, and AI-supported plant management.
Corporations such as Kubota and CNH presented systems for more productive, precise, and sustainable agriculture.
The diversity and innovative strength on display prove that agricultural robotics is no longer a dream of the future—it is the present and the driving force behind a new era in agriculture.

DEEPFARMBOTS AS BRIDGE BUILDERS

Participation in FIRA 2025 underscores Deepfarmbots' commitment to bringing together technology, practice, and networking. Dialogue with international partners and direct exchange with practitioners in the field are essential for us to develop robust, open, and application-oriented solutions.

We would like to thank the organizers for the platform and look forward to continuing the dialogue – in the field, within the network, and at future events such as World FIRA in 2026 or in the US in fall 2025.
